This tour of western and central Cuba exposes the natural beauty of the Caribbean island, the absorbing history of its colonial cities and the secluded paradise that can be found on its beaches. On arrival in Havana, you will be enthused by the decadent charm and lively cultural scene of the Cuban capital; on a tour of the Old town you can also learn about its vibrant colonial history. The Viñales valley will give you a taste of the varied natural landscapes and tropical environments that abound in the western province of Pinar del Rio, with its spectacular rolling green hills and tobacco plantations. Moving towards the island’s centre, the captivating colonial town of Trinidad is an amazing way to explore the opulent colonial era of Cuba – the town is frozen in time with remarkable and unmodified colonial architecture. Inland from here is the Topes de Collantes National Park, which encompasses the diverse tropical forests of the Escambray Mountain range. Central Cuba also has fabulous Caribbean beaches that you will have ample time to enjoy.

Day 1: Arrive in Havana
Upon arrival to Havana International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your selected Havana hotel or homestay. After check-in, you will receive an introduction to your personalized Cuba travel itinerary, and will have any questions you have or needs addressed by the Cuba For Less representative. Enjoy your first evening in Havana!
Day 2: Exploring Havana’s Colonial History
Begin the day with an Old Havana Walking Tour, explore the main streets and squares of the Historical Centre (Arm’s Square, St. Francis of Assisi’s Square, the Old Square and the Cathedral Square). At night, you will get a little glimpse of Cuban history in action with the Canon Shot Ceremony; you will get picked up at your hotel and depart for the San Carlos de La Cabaña fortress to see the Cannon Shot Ceremony; you will have free time to visit the areas in the fortress; Dinner is included in a local restaurant; Return to the hotel.
Day 3: Modern Havana City Driving Tour
Embark on a panoramic tour of the modern part of the city (Central Havana, Cerro, Vedado and Miramar neighborhoods) making stops at the Capitol Building, Revolution Square, University of Havana, Hotel Nacional, Jose Marti’s Memorial, Christopher Columbus Cemetery, and the Scale Model of the City. Enjoy free time the rest of the day to explore on your own, or plan an optional excursion.
Day 4: Pinar del Rio - Viñales Tour
Pick up at the hotel and depart towards Pinar del Río; Visit to Casa del Veguero, where you will taste a welcoming cocktail and appreciate Tobacco plantations, traditional industry of the province; Visit to Viñales Valley lookout point which offers a beautiful general view of the Valley; Visit to the Indian Cave with a boat ride on its subterranean river; Country lunch included in a restaurant in the area; Visit the Prehistoric Mural which illustrates the process of evolution in the Sierra de los Órganos from mollusk to the first human inhabitants of the region; Return to the hotel.
Day 5 - Che's city - Santa Clara & St. Spiritus
Pick up in the hotel and transfer to Santa Clara City; Stop at Fiesta Campesina farm; Sightseeing around Santa Clara city, visit the Armoured Train and Che's Mausoleum; Lunch in a local restaurant; Continue the trip to Sancti Spíritus, tour around the city; Lodging in Sancti Spiritus hotel.
Day 6 - Trinidad - Cienfuegos
Visit to Manaca Iznaga Tower, in the Valley of the Sugar Mills; Tour around the historical centre with a stop at the Pottery House and La Canchánchara bar where you can enjoy a typical cocktail; Visit to a museum in Trinidad; Lunch in a local restaurant; Continue the trip to Cienfuegos city. Tour around the city declared World Heritage by the UNESCO; Return to Havana.
